Located in the “Marinha Passagem”, the oyster nurseries are an area of approximately 8 hectares, surrounded by the “Ria de Aveiro” canals, with the city at its horizon. It is situated on a former 16th century harbour, used by the Portuguese caravels that transported ceramic to the most diverse parts of the world.
Once a salt marsh and fish-farming nurseries, recently remodelled, it offers you an outstanding touristic and gastronomic experience, focussed on oysters, clams and salicornia aquaculture.
