Visit one of the most iconic wine cellars of the region of “Bairrada”. Founded in 1920, the Caves de S. João (S. João Wine Cellars) are about to celebrate its 100º anniversary.
These wine cellars have always been allied to avant-gardism and tradition. In 1930, it started to commercialize sparkling wines and in 1959 it also focused on high quality bottled wine, commercializing it both at national and international level.
It’s just not possible to tell the history of “Bairrada’s” wine production without mentioning S. João Wine cellars. Furthermore, the visit to its facilities may be supplemented by a wine tasting moment.
